Koh I Noor Public Art, Perth

Project Description

The title of this piece is 'Diamond Matrix'. Penni Sutton was one of the public artists for this project alongside Stuart Green. This piece, designed by Penni, sits at the front entry to an aged care facility called Koh I Noor. The curatorial theming of the piece focused on the association of the Koh I Noor diamond, the atomic structure of the diamond matrix and the residents of the facility being symbolic gems. In all there are 82 diamonds attached to a representation of the diamond matrix. The number 82 exactly matches the configuration of the matrix and the number of residents living with in the building.
